Juvéderm™ is a "next-generation" non-animal dermal filler that is made from hyaluronic acid-a naturally occurring substance that plays a vital role in hydrating your skin and replenishing its natural volume. No allergy skin tests are needed prior to receiving treatment. Juvéderm™ is available in two formulations- Juvéderm™ Ultra for versatility in contouring and volumizing facial wrinkles and folds, and Juvéderm™ Ultra Plus, a more robust formulation for volumizing and correcting deeper folds and wrinkles. This allows your healthcare professional to tailor treatment to meet your unique needs.

Typically, Juvéderm™ Ultra is used for correcting lines over the eyes, lips, and cheek areas. Juvéderm™ Ultra Plus is used for correcting lines around the nose and middle cheek area and above the corners of the mouth.

Injections can be done in 5-10 minutes in the office. Although any discomfort with the injections may be quite tolerable for many, the areas of injection can also be numbed initially with numbing creams or injections of numbing medications such as lidocaine.

Down-time and recovery is typically minimal. Most everyone can resume full activity the following day.
