Micro-Laparoscopic Surgery

Traditional laparoscopic surgery using 5-mm instruments has dominated the minimally invasive surgery landscape. AMI Surgery is the only center that uses a less invasive surgical system that employs a 2.9-mm diameter shaft (or 2.1 mm smaller). The use of the micro-laparoscopic platform requires a smaller incision (micro incisions) than traditional laparoscopic surgery but allows for the use of fully functional standard laparoscopic instruments, with the potential advantages of no scarring and no pain.
